When Obama said "I just want to make sure that everybody understands that you don't make decisions about resources before you have the strategy ready,".I thought that was very intelligent, however, I feel he needs to bring the soliders home instead of considering bring more to Afghanistan. Because if they were trying to plan another attick they would have done it already, when you send people out there your just putting them in harms way.
I read about sending 30,000 troops to Afghanistan. President Obama says ''I just want to make sure that everybody understands that you don't make decisions about resources before you have the strategy ready,". Congressional critics, including his 2008 Republican presidential opponent Senator John McCain, have urged the administration to approve the deployment of more troops immediately, saying delay puts the lives of troops already in Afghanistan at greater risk. I really do agree about sending the troops but if he don't we will lose the war.
At a point i thought i would be kind of a good thing, but now i understand.this can be a help to america to ensure security, and peace of mind.parents would not be so delighted at another troop surge in iraq.Young men are not made to throw their lives away on some war thats been going on for 8 years.there has to be another way to end this war onther than send more troops in.
I think Obama is doing the right thing about the war. I think he should let some of the soilders come back to see their family before sending more. In his statment when he said that it was important for him to exercise skepticism when sending an American in uniform into harm's way. He said he is the one who's answerable to their parents if they don't come home. So I have to ask some very hard questions any time I send our troops in." In that statement he made sure that the troops know that its their decision to go to war or stay with their parents. I think Obama knows what he is doing to end the war at Afghanistan.
I think what President Obama is doping right now is a good idea. You don't want to just send troops over so fast. Then it would seem like our country is just trying to run things. By sending all those extra troops would put MORE people in danger than the ones that already are because this would make al Quaeda more mad and try to attact the troops that are there, so President Obama should just take his time and make the right decision.
President Obama to me kind of seemed confused it seems like he cannot make up his mind about sending troops home or to Afghanistan the delay is putting the life of troops thats already in Afgahanistan in more danger.I kind of agree with the republicans when they said that President Obama have to make his mind up.I think in a way sending troops to Afghanistan is a good but also bad. The reason why i think sending troops to Afghanistan is a good idea is because they are trying to ensure that al Qaeda is not trying to attack the United States and make sure that we are safe and if we have a war and there is not enough troops most likely we are going to lose the war. In another way i think sending troops to Afganistan is a bad idea is because more and more troops are dying everyday,he need to send the troops back home. President Obama also need to make his mind up before its too late and we wont have anymore troops in Afganistan.
President Obama is in a situation in which he has to decide whether or not to send more troops to Afghanistan. The top U.S. commander in Afghanistan, Army General Stanley McChrystal, was said to have requested for about 30,000 more troops. Republicans, such as Mitch McConnell, have complained that President Obama is taking too much time to make this decision, but in my opinion, Obama should take time to think about the impacts that each choice can make on our country and which would be the better choice. In addition, John McCain also believes that troops should be sent immediately and be ready for combat because delaying the decision puts the lives of troops in Afghanistan at risk. Either way, President Obama wants to take his time to make this decision and think about strategies so that he will be sure that he is making the right one. I think he should start sending the troops in Afghanistan back home because there is no point for them to be there for such a long time; if President Obama wants to ensure that al Qaeda is not in a position to attack the U.S. again, then the troops should be in the U.S. protecting the country itself instead of in the country of our "enemy."
I think if we send more people to the army they would have alot of senseless killings. I don't think we have enough resources to send of those men.But I think 30,000 Troops will not be enough. Army-men have family's that the care about. So Mr.Obama should think about what he's doing.
I believe that a decision is needed very soon about sending or not sending more troops to Afghanistan. I also believe that Obama is right when he said "I just want to make sure that everybody understands that you don't make decisions about resources before you have the strategy ready," because if you have no strategy you'll be putting a lot of troops in harms way. You have to have a plan before you make a decision. That's very important.
Honestly, I don't really understand what's the purpose of a war. It just seems like you're just killing more and more people for land or whatever. I don't really get what's the point. So with that being said, I think that Obama should send all of our troops home.
President Obama is getting complaints from republicians that he need to make up his mind. About send the troops because he do not want to be the one to answer to someone's parents why there child didnt come home. And he really dont want all of the troops to go to Afghanistan cause they are thinking about sending 30,000 troops. Obama also state that he did not recieve a request of how many troops he need so untill then he will find some type of way to ensure that al Qaeda is not in postion to attack us the United States.Say that he said that "He wants people to understand that you can not just make decisions on something with out a strategy ready". All he trying to ensure is that he does not want all of this troops dieing by just sending them all out at one time or all in one place.
Wow. My Mind Was Blown Away Once Again By Obama And His Awasome Ways Of Thinking. If You Think Logically You Would Understand That The If We( The United States )Were To Add More Troops It would not Be to keep Afghanistan free freedom as we understand it is alien to that culture. I am no longer convinced that it is to keep terrorists away from our shores. The radial Muslims in that part of the world will simply wait us out, time is on their side. Spending more money and sending more young Americans into a "no win" situation is wrong.Who are they dieing for and why? The generals are tasked with winning a war that can not be won. The natural reaction for them is to tell Obama, "well it will take two more combat divisions just to get things under control". No That Is NOT The Case Or Our Way Out. My Uncle Is a retired military Soldier and He Has Had nothing but admiration and reverence for our troops. We need to cut our losses and find an exit strategy. ASAP!!
I think that the article is letting people know that obama has a choice which is either to send more people to afganastan or take the rest of the troops thats there and hasnt died yet out of this war. I think he should end this war cuz all da soldiers that hasnt died wants to go home to their family. If he puts more people in the war dat means more people will die and familys will lose husbands, sons, brothers, boyfriends, and daddys. I think John Mc Canine is rite on this to with draw from this war ASAP cuz now most of our troops are dead and now they need more troops to go fight this war which i think is stupid cuz i dont kno why they fighting in the first place. Dis means more people will die. This is wat i think and if obama sends more troops i will not like him even more dont get me wrong hes a great speaker but now after he talks i go bak to read between da lines and hes talking alot of b/s dat will hurt people and families like me n my family so yeah he needs to just listen to john McCanie this time
One this past Sunday President Barack Obama had an interview saying how he wanted to wait to determine the proper strategy for U.S. forces in Afghanistan before he decide if he is going to sent more troops there.Obama was also in an interview on Friday with ABC.They also ask him when he would decide whether to send more troops. He said he was still working on it. I agree when he told ABC that you should not make decisions about things before you have a strategy. He had another interview with NBC and told them that it was important for him to exercise skepticism when sending an American in uniform into harm's way.I agree what about you.
In Obama's interview the main topic was about sending troops to Afghanistan. He said he hasn't gotten the request for troop increase yet, but it seems like he doesn't want to send troops because he said "because I'm the one who's answerable to their parents if they don't come home. So I have to ask some very hard questions any time I send our troops in."
The past Sunday President Obama made a speech well had a interview on whether he want to wait for the right(proper)stragegy for the U.S. foreces in Afghanistan before deciding if he want to send more troops out.On But on NBC he told the press that it was important for to excercise skepticism when sending an American in uniform in harm's way which i agree on that because you don't if they gone come back home or not.Plus he the one that is anseable to their parent if they don't come back home and President Obama have to anser very hard questions anytime he send troops out.Do you agree with President Obama.
I think that Obama shouldn't send more troops , because it's going to start more confusion to the world . He does not want to be the one calling people moms and telling them why their child never came home . And he was right about when he said '' You dont make decisions on resources before you have the strategy ready '' . And now we already have young ones dying everyday , so we dont need more of that to happen , and for parents to see their children in body bags !
Mr.Obama is in a big bond to where he has to make a decision whether he shound send more troops to Afghanistan or not.Stanley mcchrystal, the army general said he needed about 30,000 more troops sent over. But Mitch McConnell a Republican,is kinda rushing Mr.barack in his decision. Not thinking about if the president rushes his decision not giving it any thought, its goin to be a huge impact on da world and on soldiers families.I personal think that president Barack Obama should take as much time as he need 2 make a historic decision .
From what I have read, President Obama said that he wants to wait and see if he wants to send troops to Iraq. People think President Obama should send troops now. "We think the time for decision is now," McConnell told CNN. President Obama did not recieve the expected request from Army General Stanley McChrystal to send 30,000 troops to Afganistan. I feel that if the troops are needed send them to Afganistan. If the troops aren't needed at this time, at least know who your going to send over. But it is something that needs to be evaluated.
hving to decide whether or not to send 30,000 troops to Alfghanistan is a MAJOR decision and i dont think McConnell is right to rush our president into something so big without giving it any thought on what may happen if we win or lose this battle..and personally, i dont think parents would be too eager and all excited for the president to just send their child to another country for war on such short notice not knowing what the outcome will be.. so to take some time out and give it "alot" of thought would not be best, but it'll be better than just sending people children head first for death! But then again when you think about how many people are dying in America today for absolutely no reason at all but beef and hate, it might be a tiny bit better to send those 30,000 out to fight for us in America.. so this is unfortunately a BIG decision and i think he should take the time out to think about it.
Obama was put in a very diffcuilt position when U.S. commander of Afghanistan, Army Genral Stanley McChrystal ask for an increase in troops. Also Jon McCain thinks the troops should be sent fast. The president told them that he had to think about what he wanted to do. He also said, "I hope everybody understands that you dont make decisions about resources before you have the strategy ready." To me I dont think President Obama should send anymore troops to fight in the war because thats just more lives being taking. I feel they are starting to want to much from the President. We should be trying to fix the horrible killing and things we are having today in America!
First of all, I know that the decision President Obama has to make about whether or not to soldiers to Afghanistan is a difficult one. I mean come on, General Stanley McChrystal has not even officially sent the request to the President, yet he still is getting pushed to make a decision. In an interview with CNN, President Obama said "I just want to make sure that everybody understands that you don't make decisions about resources before you have the strategy ready". I think the President is right to take some time to think over a strategy to make sure that the least amount of people get injured. On the other hand, I also agree with Mitch McConnell when he said "...the time for decision is now," because I believe the more time that he lets slip by, the chance becomes greater that more lives could be taken away. Either way it goes, I just hope that we end this war. It's all about peace, love, and harmony people!
President Barack Obama is in a predicament to deicide on whether or not he should send more troops over to Afghanistan. Army General Stanley McChrystal is planning on sending a request to Washington to send over about 30,000 more troops. He is currently working with the Pentagon to figure out how he should make the request. Obama has been thinking hard about if he should or should not. Sending troops to Afghanistan should require a lot of thought before doing it. It endangers lives of those who are already in Afghanistan and the lives of the U.S. citizens if al Qaeda attacks. John McCain thinks that the troops need to be sent immediately, but a military action needs to have a strategy in which President Obama is trying to plan. We cannot just send in troops without a plan. Without a plan, we might be sending 30,000 troops to their death. In addition, the request has not even been sent yet. Obama has the right to take his time making this important decision and can take action once the request is officially sent. Many people may be scolding President Obama, but I believe that he is doing the right thing by thinking of a strategy first.
President Obama said he wanted to wait to determine a strategy before he considered sending more troops to Afghanistan. Obama was aired on TV Shows: ABC, CBS, and CNN to be interviewed and asked whether he would decide to send more troops or not. "I just want to make sure that everybody understands that you don't make decisions about resources before you have the strategy ready," he told ABC. He's right about what he said, we do not want to send in more troops without a proper strategy or else we would end up losing more American troops. He also said he's responsible for answering the parents of troops if they do not come home which is really hard on him. Senator Republican leader Mitch McConnel said his party would be supportive of a U.S. troop increase in Afghanistan, but was troubled by the delay in decision making. He wants Obama to make the decision now because the delay could take days, weeks, or months, and by that time it would be hurtful to both the U.S. troops in Afghanistan and the U.S.
Army General Stanley McChrystal wants to ask President Obama for more troops to be sent to Afghanistan. President Obama has not received the request but he is still thinking about whether he should send more troops or not. President Obama is worried that if he sends more troops to Afghanistan then they will get hurt but if he does'nt the troops that are already there will be in danger. I think that President Obama should really think about this decision and not to rush it just because everybody's(like the Defense secretary, John McCain, and Senate republican leader) telling him to make a decision now.
In this article, there were two sides to it about having more troops sent to Afghanistan. There is nothing wrong with Obama taking time to evaluate whether or not it was appropiate to send more because it is a decision that you do not take lightly on. Even if Obama is taking is time, Senator McCain believe that he should send more troops immediately because he believes that if there are more troops, the soldiers in Afghanistan right now will sorta be out of harms way. As the president, Obama isn't quick to make his decisions. As bush stated once, " Whatever the commander in Iraq wants, he gets." Obama is thinking more into the decision. He is not going to jump quickly and say okay because he has to think about the details and everything in between. Obviously, it is not an easy task.
I think more troops are going to be sent to Afghanistan regardless of what the situation is. If General Stanley McChrystal the top U.S. commander in Afghanistan thinks that more troops should be sent. He should reques it to Obama, since Obama said that he has not recieved a request for more troops. I think what Obama is trying to do is the right thing by taking his time to see what the situation is. And if what John McCain is saying is true about young Americans dying everyday in Afghanistan, then why shouldn't we get that recommendation to the president and implement it or not implement it as soon as possible? But like I said more troops are going to be sent in the future that what I believe.
In my pesonal opinion Obama shouldn't send more troops to Afganistan without careful deliberation. The estimated range of troops they want to send is up to 30,000. Army General Stanley McChrystal is supposed to send a message to the President for the troop increase. Obama is taking proper precaution by computing a strategic plan first before sending any more troops to Al Queda. Obama states that this is a very delicate subject that should be handled properly. Obama has to answer to the lost lives of the soliders parents who lost a child in battle. Many press that the time for the decision is now, but the time to rush and not excute a probale plan to successfully carry out the goal is not now. Obama holds the ulitimate decision I follow his plan to deliberate straegy then ignite war.
In my opinion President Obama is in a hard situation to send more troops to Afganistan. He is trying to make sure wheather or not it is right to send the troops there because it will be his fault for telling the parents if they don't come home. So I think it is also in need for him to hurry and make his decision because the lives of the troops already in Afganistan may be at stake because the president is being indecive. 30,000 troops are on the line so he should make his choice carefully before hesends them into Afganistan.
Basically Obama is asking for a strategy plan before they send troops to war. Many civilians are unapproving of his comment.General McCrystal sent for an increase of 30,000 troops but has not submitted to Washington. Though Obama has said he is responible for all problems that happen and it is not his decision. Sen. McClain has urged for more troops saying there is a major delay in increase and the troops are at greater risk alone.I think it is time to make a decision for the troops, but as Sen. McConnell said, with this delay it could be too late.
To me, the main concern about this article is when Obama was saying "I just want to make sure that everybody understands that you don't make decisions about resources before you have the strategy ready" and "Because I'm the one who's answerable to their parents if they don't come home." I think this is important because in my opinion it doesn't make since to send out more troops when you don't have a plan made up already and if he doesn't know what the situation is in Afghanistan at this point their really isn't a good reason to send them. If you were in his place and had to make an important decision like this you should think about no only what your plan is and whats going to be the result of it, but also you should think about if they need more troops or not. If they don't, then how are you to explain to their parents that it was a poor decision to send them and that they died during the war.(if he/she died)
I think obama is makinq the riqht decision. He is riqht about when he says"he wants to wait to determine the proper strateqy before sendinq more troop."Once aqain iAqree with Obama on this.iThink he should just take his time about the decision and dont worry about what everyybodyy[john McCain]is talkinq about.everybodyy need to understand that you don't make decisions about resources before you have the strateqy readyy...
There goes the republicans again... sigh* (give up, McCain.) my opinion on this decision,... it's what should've been done 9 years ago. Everything works better with a plan. Giving the soldiers a guideline on the operation will help them execute missions more efficiently. Pres. Obama plans to seize al Quieda before it has the chance to attack us at home. But not with the unneccessary swarming of 30,000 paranoid, testosterone-fueled, guys with huge guns, with no plan whatsoever. p.s: bush sucks, and his followers sucked with him. why does their opinion matter??? gosh.
I think Obama is doing the right thing by waiting to make sure he is sure bout his decision. Hes not just makin any decision off da top of his head.he said it himself "I just want to make sure that everybody understands that you don't make decisions about resources before you have the strategy ready,". this shows he is really thinkin ecerythin out n trynna make da rite decision.
I think that President Obama should not send anyomore troops to fight war.I mean why would you send 30,000 more troops out to fight if the troops that were sent out by Bush couldnt get the job done. I think that it is a waste of time and money to send more troops.Obama stated, "I'm the one who's answerable to their parents if they don't come home",and he is right. Why risk the lives of more of our soldiers dieing if we dont have a precise plan as for as what to do and how to do it. President Obama really has a hard decision to make. I think that he is doing the right thing to procrasinate and think this whole thing over.
I think Obama is doing the right thing bring the troops back home. But on the other hand it seems like a 50/50 type chance that he's taking (Im not trying to be negetive just realistic about it). What if the plan goes through. Then the troops go home. Afghanistan attacks again what then. If that happens (which I hope it never will) the puplic will be mad at him saying it was a bad idea. Thats what Im scaried about and whats with McCain stepping in nobody cares of what he's going to say.
President Obama is thinking about 30,000 combat troops and trainers to Afghanistan but is waiting for the right strategy. President Obama is waiting for a request from Army General Stanley McChrystal for more troops. I think he is waiting too long because the troops already in Afghanistan are in danger, and they're going to need more help. The whole war between Afghanistan and America is pointless, in my opinion. Innocent people are losing their lives, and families are losing their loved ones. George Bush sent troops out when he was president, and nothing was accomplished. 30,000 more troops wouldn't make much of a difference either.
Let’s see. When it came to the Porkulus bill, it had to be passed in 48 hours without taking any time to read it, even though much of it didn’t come into effect for more than a year. Several ill senators had to be flown in over the weekend for their votes. But when it comes to more troops, which are needed NOW, it’s important to wait and think about it, until the Great Obama figures out what to do. I don’t know what the right solution is in Afghanistan. But it seems to me that there are, in such a war, usually two choices: Win it, or get out. I’m afraid Obama will take a third and worse choice, just as LBJ( Lyndon Johnson) did in Vietnam. He will stay in, but tie the troops’ hands behind their backs with stupid Rules of Engagement, and play it to lose. Preferably so his successor can take the blame. So our troops are killed with rules of engagement that forbid them to defend themselves. Then we declare defeat and leave in disgrace with the press cheering our enemies.
Ive watched the video and read the article. Im glad to see that President Obama hasn't made up his mind yet about rather If he should send troops or not.Thats a very big decision,& it will take some time so the Republicans should not rush him into deciding rather or not to do so.But in my opinion I think he should not send more troops,I understand that our troops out there in Afghanistan may need help, but we have been in this war now for what 8 years? and we have been spending billions of dollors, and still have yet to find what we are looking for.People lives/love ones are being taken away nearly everyday fighting for this country and now your thinking about sending 30,000 more?I thought he was suppose to bring the troops home, seems to me he's going for the total opposite.Lets just hope not and only time will tell thankfully he will make the right decision.
I think President Obama is doing the right thing.Sending troops out would be the wrong thing to do until the ones out there comes home.I think if he send 30,000 out 30,000 should come home.Like McConnell said,"We think the time for decision is now." I think he is right.Obama needs to make his decision now before its to late and more soldiers are killed.
I think President Obama should bring. The troops back home instead of sending them to Afgahistan, to much troops are dying. When President Obama said "I just want to make sure that everybody understands that you don't make decisions about resources before you have the strategy ready," I think that is true because he was to go by resources with out a strategy plan President Obama will be spending a whole lot of money.Even though president Obama have to make an important decesion he is taking too much time the troops in Afganhistan are already in danger and we do not want any more of our troops dying.
i think obama is making the right decision. he has enough things on his mind, and like he said he wants to wait to determine the proper strategy. Even if he sends the troops or dont sends the troops someone in the world would think he doing the wrong thing. but i support whatever he does. it's a very big decision for him to make and thats what people not understanding because they dont have to make the decision, he does.sending 30,000 troops is too much for me, and it would be hard for the families too.
The republicans are viewing this situation wrongly and not viewing the outcome of the situation. Sending 30,000 soldiers not only jeopardizes their life, but also will lead to a worse ending than a better one. Obama is hesitating to send the troops because, as he said, he is responsible for them. It's not such a simple task to send over 30,000 people to Afghanistan so easily, for this will also raise the debt of the United States. I for one, believe that it's better to be safe, but not over do it.
I think Obama don't want to make the wrong choice if he have to send troops to Afghanistan because he is the one who answerable to their parents if they don't come home.He still working on appropriate strategy.
I think Obama idea about bring more troops to Afghanistan for the war. But they have to bring alot of member of the troop over 30,000 is kinda too much to bring to Afghanistan. McChrystal could bring about 10,000 troops to Afghanistan to see how it goes and bring more later. Some of the member troop might have family before they want to get sent over. I think the idea to bring over 30,000 troops to Afghanistan is kinda bad.
I read that Obama has to make important decisions about the war in Afghanistan. He has to make a decision whether or not to send more troops over and/or to send some home to see their people. The Republicans are complaining that he is taking too long to make up his mind, but I think that it is wise to take your time and make the right choice that will satisfy the majority of the U.S. He is also wanting to send some troops home while sending troops out at the same time; this way, there will be a balance between whose fighting and whose not.
Actually, I'm pretty confused on which decision I would prefer. Bring the troops back home, and let terrorists destroy other countries as well as ours? Or leave the troops fighting there where young American soldiers with a family die every day. I've actually been thinking about this ever since the war started. I still can't even choose which I would prefer. I just hope God helps Obama make the right decision, and I know he will.
This whole article is about sending more troops to Afghanistan. When President Obama said "I just want to make sure that everybody understands that you don't make decisions about resources before you have the strategy ready," it made me think that he really wants to do thing right. I also think that he is doing the right thing by taking his time to make the decision because people people are dying everyday in Afghanistan. In the article, the republicans were trying to rush Obama's decision by saying that delays puts the lives of troops already in Afghanistan at greater risk. If President Obama didn't get the request for more troops it only makes sense to decide on a strategy. I think that sending more troops is not a good idea because it is a chance that their families may not ever see them again, and this will cause a lot of stress to love ones. This is what I read and thought about when reading this article.
Even though President Obama is being rushed to make a critical decision on sending soldiers to Afghanistan, he is still taking the time to figure out a strategy. He can't just send 30,000 soldiers and take a risk at ending most of their lives. He's been interviewed various times about the situations. A lot of people and officials want answers immediately. He explains every time that you don't make decisions about resources before you have the strategy ready. I think that's very smart of him to do. In my opinion, the Democratic party is correct on this topic because we should avoid any firearm fighting. I would side with the Democrats whom is taking their time to make wise choices and make sure the plan is the most flawless and efficient. Obama feels like he's responsible for the troops that he sends out there. And before any further decisions, he still needs time to think it out.
McCain voices his opinion by urging the administration to approve the deployment of more troops immediately, saying delay puts the lives of troops already in Afghanistan at greater risk. But doesn't sending more soldiers also risk their lives too? Well yeah, the more time Obama gets to think about the decision, the better choice he would make.
"I just want to make sure that everybody understands that you don't make decisions about resources before you have the strategy ready." says President Obama. "Because I'm the one who's answerable to their parents if they don't come home. So I have to ask some very hard questions any time I send our troops in." I'm agree with President Obama on this two quotes because I think that you should think very hard and plan a good strategy for everything you do before you make a decision. Your decision will not be a good one if you don't do this. The lives of the troops is in President Obama's hand, so he must take time in deciding whether or not more troops should be sent. Anyway, President Obama says that he did not receive a request for more troops yet.
I think Obama is right, I don’t think we should send troops out without a plan. They are thinking about 30,000 new combat troops and trainers. That is a lot of people to send out without a plan or a strategy. I also agree that not sending some troops can have an effect on the troops in Afghanistan now. Everybody is pushing Obama to make up his mind but we can not push him to hard because we want to make the right decision that would benefit us all. Like Obama said "I just want to make sure that everybody understands that you don't make decisions about resources before you have the strategy ready." So we should let me come up with a very good stratery before we that about sending troops out.
President Obama has a great point about not making decisions about resources before you have the strategy ready, and personally i do not think the United States is ready to send troops over to Afghanistan. We, the United States, are losing too many troops as it is and to send more means that we are going to lose more. Also i believe that President Obama is making the best decisions for the country. He is trying his best to keep peace and keep the United States in one piece.
McCain is so worried about getting troops out there, when he's too blind to realize that his own country needs help! There's people suffering of poverty and he's worried about sending 30,000 people out there knowing the affects that could come out of it. Obama is making the right decision! And as the family member of troops sent back and forth from Afghanistan, it's hard losing family, and they dont get that! All Troops Should be sent back , because if we havent accomplished anything by now then nothing will ever be accomplished, and their just goin to keep going back and forth and things is just going to keep getting worse. And for what.. NOTHING! Its seem McCain's so worried on making this country look good when its not, and he's just looking like a moron!
Everyone is hammering president Obama about weather or not to send more troops out to Afghanistan. He can't do anything yet because he hasn't recieved a request for more troops.I really believe that he doesn't want to send troops out at all.He stated that "Because I'm the one who's answerable to their parents if they don't come home.So I have to ask some very hard questions any time I send troops in." And he also stated that while he didn't have a deadline for withdrawing troops "I'm certainly not somebody who believes in indefinite occupations of other countries."
I think that President Obama is doing the right thing by really taking his time trying to make the right decision on whether he should send more troops out to Afghanistan. Even when people like the Republicans are presuring him to hurry and send troops out there. I understand why President Obama is not really wanting to send more troops out in Afghanistan. Like he said he's the one who's responsible to tell these people parents why their child didn't come home if their child didn't come home. Another reason is they already have alot of troops out there spreaed between Irqa and Afghanistan so why send out 30,000 more out there to be killed? But getting back to the point, President Obama wants to plan a strategy first before sending out more troops.I agree with President Obama when he says "I just want to make sure that everybodyunderstands that you don't make decission about resources before you have the strategy ready." I think that is smart you need to have a plan before you actually begin something. You don't have a plan so many things could go wrong with what you're trying to do and I think that's what President Obama is trying to avoid.
Truth be told I really have no input in this at all. I mean yes maybe we should get our troops out if nothing is being accomplished. Then again if we are doing something good or getting something out of this then why take them out? Yes, each persons life is valuable but when these troops went into the military they understood that the loss of there life might be a possiblity. If we need more troops over there then we need more troops. End of disscusion
First of all we shouldn't have went over there in the first place! But I dont think Obama should, if the army is building so much technology why dont they test them out on al Qaeda base camps or instead of that why not just drop missiles on the camps. We have a lot of over ways to attack them, So why should we send more troops to be killed. And the republicans are doing just what they always do (try to make Obama look bad) and they are the ones that supported the war from the beginning so you know what the are behind. Bottom line Obama is the President and if he doesnt wanna sign it ; then he doesnt have to.
I truly believ that Obama is stalling for the simple fact of... He didn't want to send any troops form the start, but since this is not an absolute monarch government, what he says cant always go.
Since the beginning of the campaigne, one of the reasons people wanter him was because Obama wanted to bring our troops home. Now since he has become president of the United States, there are things the average american wouldn't know that he is now faced with. There are still secrets kept with in the white house and capital's walls, so even though it was Obamas intentions to bring them home asap, it wasn't as easy. Now that they have moved to Afgahnistan the demand of more troops have come up again. The question is what will be the stratagey that gets him out of sending troops?
P.s. LOOK MY OPINION ON OBAMA SENDING 30,000 MORE TROOPS AWAY IS RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY WOULD THEY PRESSURE OBAMA ABOUT THIS! I TOTALLY AGREE WITH JOHN McCAINE LETS GET OUR TROOPS OUT OF WAR MANNNNN THEY BEEN IN THE WAR FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW AND ITS POINTLESS NOONE KNOWS WHY THEY STILL IN THE WAR ANYMORE SO WHY PUT MORE TROOPS IN THE WAR TO DIE WHEN WE CAN SAVE OUR TROOPS AND SEND THEM HOME TO THEIR FAMILY AND FRIENDS THAT ARTICLE GOT MY MIND GOING CRAZY!!!!! BECAUSE HE THINKING ABOUT SENDING MORE TROOPS I'M HOPING HE FIX THE PROBLEM BUSH HAS MAN BUT NOT FOLLOW IN HIS FOOTSTEPS WITH THIS WAR SITUTATION.....
P.S. "Lets take a moment and think......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................" So Ms.Vega what you thinking????
When Obama said "I just want to make sure that everybody understands that you don't make decisions about resources before you have the strategy ready,".I thought that was very intelligent, however, I feel he needs to bring the soliders home instead of considering bring more to Afghanistan. Because if they were trying to plan another attick they would have done it already, when you send people out there your just putting them in harms way.
ReplyDeleteI read about sending 30,000 troops to Afghanistan.
ReplyDeleteAt a point i thought i would be kind of a good thing, but now i understand.this can be a help to america to ensure security, and peace of mind.parents would not be so delighted at another troop surge in iraq.Young men are not made to throw their lives away on some war thats been going on for 8 years.there has to be another way to end this war onther than send more troops in.
ReplyDeleteI think Obama is doing the right thing about the war.
ReplyDeleteI think what President Obama is doping right now is a good idea. You don't want to just send troops over so fast. Then it would seem like our country is just trying to run things. By sending all those extra troops would put MORE people in danger than the ones that already are because this would make al Quaeda more mad and try to attact the troops that are there, so President Obama should just take his time and make the right decision.
ReplyDeletePresident Obama to me kind of seemed confused it seems like he cannot make up his mind about sending troops home or to Afghanistan the delay is putting the life of troops thats already in Afgahanistan in more danger.I kind of agree with the republicans when they said that President Obama have to make his mind up.I think in a way sending troops to Afghanistan is a good but also bad. The reason why i think sending troops to Afghanistan is a good idea is because they are trying to ensure that al Qaeda is not trying to attack the United States and make sure that we are safe and if we have a war and there is not enough troops most likely we are going to lose the war.
ReplyDeleteIn another way i think sending troops to Afganistan is a bad idea is because more and more troops are dying everyday,he need to send the troops back home.
ReplyDeleteJenny B. Nguyen
I think if we send more people to the army they would have alot of senseless killings. I don't think we have enough resources to send of those men.But I think 30,000 Troops will not be enough. Army-men have family's that the care about. So Mr.Obama should think about what he's doing.
ReplyDeleteI believe that a decision is needed very soon about sending or not sending more troops to Afghanistan. I also believe that Obama is right when he said "I just want to make sure that everybody understands that you don't make decisions about resources before you have the strategy ready," because if you have no strategy you'll be putting a lot of troops in harms way. You have to have a plan before you make a decision. That's very important.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I don't really understand what's the purpose of a war. It just seems like you're just killing more and more people for land or whatever. I don't really get what's the point. So with that being said, I think that Obama should send all of our troops home.
-Kentrice Douglas
ReplyDeleteWow. ASAP!!
ReplyDeleteI think that the article is letting people know that obama has a choice which is either to send more people to afganastan or take the rest of the troops thats there and hasnt died yet out of this war. This is wat i think and if obama sends more troops i will not like him even more dont get me wrong hes a great speaker but now after he talks i go bak to read between da lines and hes talking alot of b/s dat will hurt people and families like me n my family so yeah he needs to just listen to john McCanie this time
ReplyDeleteOne this past Sunday President Barack Obama had an interview saying how he wanted to wait to determine the proper strategy for U.S. forces in Afghanistan before he decide if he is going to sent more troops there.Obama was also in an interview on Friday with ABC.They also ask him when he would decide whether to send more troops. He said he was still working on it. I agree when he told ABC that you should not make decisions about things before you have a strategy. He had another interview with NBC and told them that it was important for him to exercise skepticism when sending an American in uniform into harm's way.I agree what about you.
ReplyDeleteIn Obama's interview the main topic was about sending troops to Afghanistan. He said he hasn't gotten the request for troop increase yet, but it seems like he doesn't want to send troops because he said "because I'm the one who's answerable to their parents if they don't come home. So I have to ask some very hard questions any time I send our troops in."
ReplyDeleteThe past Sunday President Obama made a speech well had a interview on whether he want to wait for the right(proper)stragegy for the U.S. foreces in Afghanistan before deciding if he want to send more troops out.On But on NBC he told the press that it was important for to excercise skepticism when sending an American in uniform in harm's way which i agree on that because you don't if they gone come back home or not.Plus he the one that is anseable to their parent if they don't come back home and President Obama have to anser very hard questions anytime he send troops out.Do you agree with President Obama.
ReplyDeleteI think that Obama shouldn't send more troops , because it's going to start more confusion to the world . He does not want to be the one calling people moms and telling them why their child never came home . And he was right about when he said '' You dont make decisions on resources before you have the strategy ready '' . And now we already have young ones dying everyday , so we dont need more of that to happen , and for parents to see their children in body bags !
ReplyDeleteMr.Obama is in a big bond to where he has to make a decision whether he shound send more troops to Afghanistan or not.Stanley mcchrystal, the army general said he needed about 30,000 more troops sent over.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I have read, President Obama said that he wants to wait and see if he wants to send troops to Iraq.

ReplyDeletehving to decide whether or not to send 30,000 troops to Alfghanistan is a MAJOR decision and i dont think McConnell is right to rush our president into something so big without giving it any thought on what may happen if we win or lose this battle..and personally, i dont think parents would be too eager and all excited for the president to just send their child to another country for war on such short notice not knowing what the outcome will be.. so to take some time out and give it "alot" of thought would not be best, but it'll be better than just sending people children head first for death! But then again when you think about how many people are dying in America today for absolutely no reason at all but beef and hate, it might be a tiny bit better to send those 30,000 out to fight for us in America.. so this is unfortunately a BIG decision and i think he should take the time out to think about it.
ReplyDeleteObama was put in a very diffcuilt position when U.S. commander of Afghanistan, Army Genral Stanley McChrystal ask for an increase in troops.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I know that the decision President Obama has to make about whether or not to soldiers to Afghanistan is a difficult one.
ReplyDeletePresident Barack Obama is in a predicament to deicide on whether or not he should send more troops over to Afghanistan.
ReplyDeletePresident Obama said he wanted to wait to determine a strategy before he considered sending more troops to Afghanistan.
ReplyDeleteArmy General Stanley McChrystal wants to ask President Obama for more troops to be sent to Afghanistan.
ReplyDeleteIn this article, there were two sides to it about having more troops sent to Afghanistan.
ReplyDeleteI think more troops are going to be sent to Afghanistan regardless of what the situation is.
ReplyDeleteIn my pesonal opinion Obama shouldn't send more troops to Afganistan without careful deliberation.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion President Obama is in a hard situation to send more troops to Afganistan.
ReplyDeleteBasically Obama is asking for a strategy plan before they send troops to war.
ReplyDeleteTo me, the main concern about this article is when Obama was saying "I just want to make sure that everybody understands that you don't make decisions about resources before you have the strategy ready" and "Because I'm the one who's answerable to their parents if they don't come home." I think this is important because in my opinion it doesn't make since to send out more troops when you don't have a plan made up already and if he doesn't know what the situation is in Afghanistan at this point their really isn't a good reason to send them. If you were in his place and had to make an important decision like this you should think about no only what your plan is and whats going to be the result of it, but also you should think about if they need more troops or not. If they don't, then how are you to explain to their parents that it was a poor decision to send them and that they died during the war.(if he/she died)
ReplyDeleteI think obama is makinq the riqht decision.
ReplyDeleteThere goes the republicans again... sigh*
ReplyDelete(give up, McCain.) my opinion on this decision,... it's what should've been done 9 years ago.
ReplyDeleteI think that President Obama should not send anyomore troops to fight war.I mean why would you send 30,000 more troops out to fight if the troops that were sent out by Bush couldnt get the job done.
ReplyDeleteI think Obama is doing the right thing bring the troops back home.
ReplyDeletePresident Obama is thinking about 30,000 combat troops and trainers to Afghanistan but is waiting for the right strategy.

ReplyDeleteLet’s see. When it came to the Porkulus bill, it had to be passed in 48 hours without taking any time to read it, even though much of it didn’t come into effect for more than a year. Several ill senators had to be flown in over the weekend for their votes.
ReplyDeleteBut when it comes to more troops, which are needed NOW, it’s important to wait and think about it, until the Great Obama figures out what to do.
ReplyDeleteIm glad to see that President Obama hasn't made up his mind yet about rather If he should send troops or not.Thats a very big decision,& it will take some time so the Republicans should not rush him into deciding rather or not to do so.But in my opinion I think he should not send more troops,I understand that our troops out there in Afghanistan may need help, but we have been in this war now for what 8 years? and we have been spending billions of dollors, and still have yet to find what we are looking for.People lives/love ones are being taken away nearly everyday fighting for this country and now your thinking about sending 30,000 more?I thought he was suppose to bring the troops home, seems to me he's going for the total opposite.Lets just hope not and only time will tell thankfully he will make the right decision.
-Ronyca
I think President Obama is doing the right thing.Sending troops out would be the wrong thing to do until the ones out there comes home.I think if he send 30,000 out 30,000 should come home.Like McConnell said,"We think the time for decision is now." I think he is right.Obama needs to make his decision now before its to late and more soldiers are killed.
ReplyDeleteI think President Obama should bring.
ReplyDeletei think obama is making the right decision. he has enough things on his mind, and like he said he wants to wait to determine the proper strategy.
ReplyDeleteThe republicans are viewing this situation wrongly and not viewing the outcome of the situation.
ReplyDeleteI think Obama don't want to make the wrong choice if he have to send troops to Afghanistan because he is the one who answerable to their parents if they don't come home.He still working on appropriate strategy.
ReplyDeleteI think Obama idea about bring more troops to Afghanistan for the war.
ReplyDeleteI read that Obama has to make important decisions about the war in Afghanistan.
ReplyDeleteActually, I'm pretty confused on which decision I would prefer.
ReplyDeleteThis whole article is about sending more troops to Afghanistan.
ReplyDeleteEven though President Obama is being rushed to make a critical decision on sending soldiers to Afghanistan, he is still taking the time to figure out a strategy.
ReplyDeleteMcCain voices his opinion by urging the administration to approve the deployment of more troops immediately, saying delay puts the lives of troops already in Afghanistan at greater risk.
ReplyDeleteI think Obama is right, I don’t think we should send troops out without a plan.
ReplyDeletePresident Obama has a great point about not making decisions about resources before you have the strategy ready, and personally i do not think the United States is ready to send troops over to Afghanistan. We, the United States, are losing too many troops as it is and to send more means that we are going to lose more. Also i believe that President Obama is making the best decisions for the country. He is trying his best to keep peace and keep the United States in one piece.
ReplyDeleteMcCain is so worried about getting troops out there, when he's too blind to realize that his own country needs help!
ReplyDeleteEveryone is hammering president Obama about weather or not to send more troops out to Afghanistan.
ReplyDeleteI think that President Obama is doing the right thing by really taking his time trying to make the right decision on whether he should send more troops out to Afghanistan.
ReplyDeleteTruth be told I really have no input in this at all.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all we shouldn't have went over there in the first place!
ReplyDeleteI truly believ that Obama is stalling for the simple fact of... He didn't want to send any troops form the start, but since this is not an absolute monarch government, what he says cant always go.
ReplyDeleteSince the beginning of the campaigne, one of the reasons people wanter him was because Obama wanted to bring our troops home.
ReplyDeleteP.S. "Lets take a moment and think......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................" So Ms.Vega what you thinking????
