  2. I feel that the healthcare reform is relevant because us as a people deserve to be able to go to the eye doctor, visit a doctor, have surgery, or even go to the dentist when in desire need & have benefits on full-time jobs also. Thats what President Obama is doing trying to alleviate & lower the prices of healthcare to help all sorts of people, it isn't like he's trying to make it free altogether. President Obama is such a well rounded, altrustic man. I feel the Republicans are being selfish and unresonable about lowering the cost of healthcare to give people a chance to live long, healthy lives as they should.

  4. I think people shuold be able to go see a doctor when in desperate need for help without being waited on. I think Predident Obama is fighting for the right thing. Trying to reduce the health care price for for us. To me the Republicans are acting really selfish about reducing the price for people to live their lives to the max.

  5. Why are the Republicans voicing complaint with this proposal? Try to see the picture from both sides so that you can truly defend your position.

  6. President Obama well what he is trying to do is lower healthcare prices. But it's not like he gone to make it free on nothing. We should beable to go to the doctor or dentist or whatever in need.He just trying to help out people who really need to be help.

  7. President Obama really needs to reform health care. What he is trying to do is lower the prices so that every person who needs help can afford it,and wont be charged thousands of dollers just for a simple surgery.Thats why it needs to be done, people in america need healthcare and medicene for their illnesses, and it should not be a preoblem for them to get ist at a affordable level.

  8. President Obama mainly was discusing how rates shouldn't be changed no matter how much you make. The rates shouldn't go down because you make alot of money or they shouldn't go up cause you make lesser money. Mainly what he is trying to do is make an advantage for everyone to get insurance and for everyone to work. Even if you are sick they shouldn't go down because you are hurt. President Obama wants the U.S. to have healthcare for their on insurance so they won't have to come out there pockets and pay for anything. More of the replucians want things to stay has they are but most people don't have has much has others may have. So since others don't have they are dying and becoming sicker has time go on. Many people are becoming ill because of no healthcare and no money to pay for hospital bills so they dont are not able to go to the hospital for their illnes. President Obama is jsut tryingt to make the U.S. a better and healther place!

  9. Of course, President Obama wants the best for his citizens and his country by offering affordable health care to everyone. I believe that this reform is more beneficial than it is harmful to our country. President Obama described how insurance companies often stopped coverage for those who were very ill and needed help the most; he believed that was wrong and wanted to stop the corruption of insurance companies. I support this plan because it will allow all citizens to have health care coverage when they need it, and it allows people to get annual physical exams and other types of check ups at low cost. I believe President Obama is doing the right thing by caring for the health of all the citizens no matter if they are young or elderly. Speaking of the senior citizens, President Obama also mentioned something about private health insurance companies dropping their coverage on the elderly, leaving them to suffer and die because they cannot afford medical care on their own; this plan will prevent this from happening by offering health care at a lower cost. Also, if citizens already have health care insurance, they do not need to change it because of the plan. The health care plan also makes it against the law for an insurance company to deny you coverage because of a preexisting health condition. Republicans believe that government should not have control on health care insurance, but I believe that the plan has a compromise because citizens can choose a private health care insurance or the public health care insurance that the plan will provide, so it is up to the citizens.

On the other hand, I am a bit skeptical on how the plan will work out. Some of the things I worry about are the facilities that will be built for providing the public health care. Would they be less sanitary than private owned medical facilities? Since everyone is allowed to get this coverage, it might take longer to make doctor appointments, too. In addition, this plan will also have a major impact on our nation's economy. Since the plan has not been passed yet, I suppose all we can do now is wait and see the effects. :T

  11. Unaffordable, unacquirable heath insurance is the whole reason for the push for Health Care Reform. Right now, as it stands we have no right to health care, Insurance companies reject the unhealthy and make premiums out of reach for the poor working class. The System is broke, it dosen't work under current laws. People, American People need law to make Health Care a RIGHT for all and not just a Priviledge to the RICH. And I think what President Obama is trying to do is what's best for everybody and it seems fare. And I like the idea that the rates should not change because of how much money you make. He also mentioned that private health insurance companies are dropping their coverage on the elderly because they cannot afford it. All I want to say is that I hope everything works out well and this country could get back on it's track.

  12. "I'm not the first president to take up this cause but I am determined to be the last." This quote that Obama said about the healthcare plan stood out. The first president was Teddy Roosevelt. I believe that Obama is doing the right thing by setting his plan out the way he did. It is true that sometimes going to the doctors, you have to pay 3 times the amount of money your employer is paying you. Obama is just caring for the health of the citizens because that is the main factor of a healthy nation. He believes that no one should be denied of insurance. The part that really triggered me was when he started naming on how insurance can just drop people just like that when they are almost at rock bottom.I don't think that the Republican can say anything until things are kicked into gear. As of right now, it's still in the air. We must have faith and be hopeful. It's more of a compromise then a force on the health care. Basically, Obama is just trying to improve the way of how health care insurance is formatted. I do believe that Obama has the citizens' best interest in mind.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I think Obama's health care plan is a step in the right direction. Many people cannot afford health insurance and this health care plan will help them be able to afford it. Also, the plan will make it so that the people who are old, previously sick or injured be able to still get insurance because the insurance company cannot deny you even if you have had previous records of illnesses or are super duper old. And another thing is that the prices of insurance will go down and be more affordable if the plan is successful. Finally, if this plan works, you can go to the doctor and stuff without paying overprice.

  14. Obama again demonstrated that he is an excellent speaker. He has also proved himself to be history's most prolific spender of taxpayer money and inflator of our federal deficit. Hasn't he surrounded himself with enough appointed czars to realize that the money our government is borrowing (much of it from China) will have to be repaid some day? The value of the U.S. dollar continues to drop under his administration, and the deficits created by his version of health care reform will accelerate the decline.
What American citizens want and urgently need are reforms which would reduce inefficiencies, fraud, needlessly complex processes for claiming insurance benefits, lack of competition across state lines for private insurers, and the huge cost of malpractice insurance and "defensive medicine." The government has the power to negotiate lower prices for prescription drugs and to open up competition. It could also ensure that the taxes paid by citizens and legal immigrants isn't misspent on illegal aliens.
Unfortunately, government also has repeatedly demonstrated its power to expand bureaucracy, fraud, waste, favoritism to lobbyists and disregard for balanced budgets.
Obama' plan continues to ignore the real issue of COST REDUCTION. If only he were as effective as a doer as he is as a speaker

  15. I don't really care about this speech, becuase he's lying. People actually think he can do that it sounds to good to be true. He's going to take from the poor and give to the rich that's how it works.

  16. I think President Obama is just basically trying to make the best out of a bad situation by making heatlh care affordable for everyone. The heatlh care plan would help the elderly and sick from being denied by insurance compinies and get the medical help they need.I agree with the Obama plan because it would help people in need of health care no matter how much they make.

  18. Obama told the public that health care reform will happen during his time as President. I believe he will keep his promise to America. He stated that he will provide coverage to people without insurance and improve coverage to people already covered. This also means if you lose your job or change your job, you still will be able to get coverage. I think this is a good idea. He is saving people's lives by providing coverage to people without insurance. If people were to still pay for insurance, then people living in the streets and wishing they could get a job would actually be on their own, without any help from the hospitals.

  19. I think President Obama's new healthcare plan is a step in the right direction. This plan guarantee many things such as the choice of health plans and physicians, making health coverage affordable, protecting families' financial health, and improving patient safety and quality care. This is the perfect plan for people that dont have the funds to go see the doctor when they are sick.

  20. President Obama's health care speech was excellent. He did a very good job of explaining the major points. There's alot of people that don't have the insurance to cover their healthcare needs. Some people can't afford to have health insurance. And with President Obama's plan, it will be easier for everyone to get the healthcare that they need.

  21. I think its a good thing what obama is doing about health care. Everyone needs to keep insurance on them at all times. All the things that are going on in the world today, never know whats going to happen. So I hope this goes threw like obama want it to.

  22. I agreed on certain stand points President Obama made in his Health Care Reform speech. Basically Obama wants all American citizens, no matter what their pre-existing conditions were to have health insurance. Republicans and Democrats agree that Americans can choose insurance among competing plans. I also agree that Obama can succeed in this plan through time and deliberation. He feels he can control cost of health insurance through contolling cost through praticing of medicine and the coordination of a patient's care. Obama believes through these steps he can curve the cost and not put a penny more in the nation's current debt. Even though I believe that Obama can reach this reform, putting a $900 billion price tag on it is very costly, and still he feels through future savings this could be reached. He wants this reform to succeed without future generations paying for the debt. I support that, want a better health care plan for the middle and lower classes of American citizens. All in all I support the Health Care Reform that President Barack Obama is developing. He said and I quote,"for many years Presidents have tried to compute a better Health Care plan, I intend on being the last"

  24. Personally I Think That President Obama Is Doing A Very Needy thing for our country Simply Because We As A Nation Need To Do a Better job, not only for ourselves but for our future. Sickness comes amoung our bodies very unexpecetedly, we can get sick today or tomorrow, wouldnt know about it until it is to late. Healthcare shouldnt be a constant thing on our minds simply because we are staying in the United States of America, and We Are SUPPOSE To Be the most free country, and weathlthiest country in the world.. Citizens Of America Shouldnt Have To Worry About Heatlthcare24/7. Obama Speech On healthcare has really Impacted The Way I feel About My Country, and The Debts That We Do Have. Senior Citizens Expecially Shouldnt Have To Worry About There Healthcare Plans Being Covered Because It Is need That They have To Have By Being Older.. And As I Continue To think about these things it has come to my Attention that if americans dont have any healthcare then who will buy all the medicine, and all the technology that we have now(Hosiptalwise), because if healthcare is going to be expensive, no one would be able to afford going to the doctor, and getting treated, and eventually the stock markets and other many things that revolve around money and medicine, will at some point and time go down, and a even deeper and more depressing recession will occur upon the United States. President Obama, Not Only Fears For his Country, But He Is really Concerned. All past Presidents Has Mentioned A Word or two About Healthcare, But At Some Point And time They have either given up speaking about the situation, and/or has not made a positive difference in any kind of way. Im Sure President obama Will get His Point Across To The Nations, and They Will Probably Overlook Our Situation yet Agian, But I Do Believe That Obama Will get Us through these depressing days.

  25. I agree with Obama's health insurance plan, because I don't think anyone should have to worry about today, the next day, tomorrow, or whenever because it's something that you should. You will never know when somethin might come up. Anything like diseases and viruses can spread fast and very easily, so when someone needs to get a check or get cured how are they going to do that when they don't have enough more or health insurance to fix the situation. That's why it's important for all of us as U.S. citizens to be on health insurance becuase we don't know when a tragedy may come into our lives. I also agree that it will provide low coverage for those who are under 26 and that they can stay on their parent insurance until then. For future references, I believe that this plan will help save lives in the future, save people more money, and it's a solution to another problem that we citizens shouldn't have to worry about.

  26. "Don't pay attention to those scary stories about how your benefits will be cut". That part in his speech made me realize that it is time to change. Because of his healthcare plan, Pres. Obama will get us our plan so citizens like us don't have to worry anymore about health.Even though I don't understand the purpose of healthcare plan I think it is an extremely good idea for people who don't have insurance. Many people and legislatures have disagreed about this, but Obama is heading for the future. This way doctors, physicans, etc. can feel secure about their patients. He addressed the people agreeingly explaining the goods and bads.Though putting 900 billion dollars on the line is cautious, I believe that this plan will seek its way through this time around.

  27. I think President Obama's healthcare plans is one way of helping America become a better place. Obama said that he will provide more security and stability to those who have health insurance, insurance to those who need it, and it will lower the cost for our families, businesses, and homes. Obama's main goal is protecting welfare in America and this is one big step he's taking in order to achieve that goal. For those people who already have health insurance, his plan works to end discrimination against people based on their gender, sex, age, and other health conditions. And for those who do not have health insurance, Obama's health plan promises that it will be affordable in the future. Obama said that life care will become more accessible in daily life under his plan. I agree that this plan would work because it helps everyone in America. Insurance wouldn't judge you under any condition so that healthcare will also be fair. I believe in everything he said because it's all to help America and people's families. It's also a big step in helping out financial problems, since a lot of people worry about their life or health insurance.

  28. Obama's healthcare plan may not please all, especially the opposing republicans that can afford healthcare, therefor haven o need for a healthcare plan. The healthcare plan is actually a pretty good step for America to rise on its feet yet again. I don't think that someone has to go broke from an uncontrollable sickness, or even has to die because he/she can not afford the operation. Of course the plan is not perfect, it'll put the nation even more in debt due to the immense amount of money this will generate. However it will help the citizens get the right that God granted us all, the right to live.

  30. I personally agree wit Obama's healthcare plan!
Barrack Obama wants everyone to have healthcare, and i agree with him because you never kno what can happen to you today, tomorrow, or the next day.
Their are approximately 46.3 million uninsured people in the U.S today.Obama wants us,(young people) to understand that we make up one of the biggest chunks of uninsured. People in America need healthcare for their illnesses, and it should not be a problem for them to get it at a affordable prices.I agree with Obama wanting young people to pay cheaper premium to help elderly people who are sick.

  31. First of all, I think Obama is doing a great job in office and also he is very articulate in his speeches. Obama's healthcare plan is a strp in a healthier direction for America. This plan will make it so healthcare is more affordable and that American's with lower incomes would be able to pay for it. Although some American's may oppose this plan because of slightly higher taxes, this plan will will help America's sick people. ;]

  32. I think that president Obama had a wonderful speech.President Obama said "One man from illinois lost his coverage in the middle of chemotheraphy because his insurer found that he hadn't reported gallstones that he didn't know about.they delayed his treatment, and he died because of it", i think when people go to hospitals they should feel good about going and getting cured they should not be afraid of doctors letting them die because their insurance company wont give them coverage or those who have it their insurance company just cancel their policy anytime just because they do not want to pay that is just wrong and cruel.I support President Obama plan its now or never.President obama is just trying to lower health care so everybody can be able to afford it.I also think that Republican Joe Wilson outburst was very direspectful i think he should of just keep his comment to his self,President Obama is just doing what he think is best for all of us.

  33. President Obama Speech about Healthcare is good. If he going to lower the price for the docter it's going be good for people that don't have insurance. They could go to the docter amd pay with low price. Also he could help alot of that is sick also can't go to the docter because the price is high. But obama have a good plan Dropping the price for the healthcare.

  34. Yes i agreee with President Obama's healthcare plan. I think its a great idea to provide healthcare for people that are less fortunate than others. In his speech he stated that even though the plan will change it will not force the citizens to change doctors or healthcare plans. Also in his speech he said that when the cost of the healthcare plans goes up it puts presure on Medicaid and Medicare. In conclusion i think that President Barack Obama is a great man for the job and that his healthcare plan will be a great turn out at the end.

  35. I agree with President Obama's healthcare plan because many people stop going to doctors because they can't afford it. Medication is really expensive now a days and the people that are really sick have trouble paying for their medication. President Obama is trying to make health insurance affordable for everybody and it is a very good idea. Many people that owns a business disagrees with it because businesses may lose alot of money providing health insurance for their employees. I think President Obama's healthcare plan is a good idea ad i hope things go well for him

  36. I agree with the President Obama some thing has to done to stop the rising cost of health care in this country. Every year health insurance is increased this has happened in five of the last five years. I also think that too much power have been given to Health Insurance regulators they control cost, deny you coverage when you have preexisting conditions. some examples of the Insurance companies are Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Aetna, Humana, National Association of Letter Carrier (NALA) Coventry ,
and I could name about forty other companies who policies will not except new enrollee with pre-existing conditions who also has increased their premiums every year in the past five. Not to mention those poor Americans who can’t afford health insurance they literally CAN’T AFFORD TO GET SICK, it should not be this way.

  37. P.S. I totally agree with President Obama's health care speech it was very interesting even though i think he could've been more specific on how we would be paying for it cause of the recession we are having right now. wouldnt this just make recession even worst??? dont get me wrong i love the whole idea about helping out the need but seriously that just make your mind wander off with thoughts. Obama is kind hearted and i respect the way he can understand how people feel but after hearing other people opinions about his health care speech really made me start thinking about alot but i totally agree we should help people out cause what if that person is really sick and cant get the comfort they need then that person might die so why not help them out??? right? cause if that was us we would want help and would've be 100% sure that Obama is making the right decision so why not take the risk and have his back even if recession is super bad right now..."and y'all know i'm right" even though Obama really need to slow down with making changes cause thats just breaking us even more. =]

  38. Yes , i agree with the healthcare insurance that Obama talked about in his speech . Health care puts alot of pressure on medicade and medicare . He has made a law where insurance companies have to go down on some things when you are sick and unable to do things . So , that means people won't go broke while their out sick from work . He will be against the law to deny you health insurance because of pre-existing conditions . He's providing consumer protection for those who has insurance . I think president Obama Health Care speech was good , and I hope it work out well !

  39. I think Obama's healthcare plan for the united states is a good things that will help the country out alot. It is unfair that just because you don't have insurance or healthcare that the doctors will not treat you. it's not right that the healthcare people are just looking for money instead of trying to save the live of people. Like Obama said there were people that needed to treatment for them at the hospital but cannot because the insurer cancels thier insurance because they didn't report something they had or because they didn't know they had it and is now needing treatment. So I think that the healthcare plan will help the United states and save many people who didnt have healthcare and had to suffer. I think its a great plan for the United states.

  40. I think it's really cool about how a president finally realizes how hard it is for youth, to go through college, being in thousands of dollars of debt. He understands what it's like and says, "Think about adding the debt you already have for college, and on top of that, another $$$$ because you got sick. I believe this could help 100% of the youth, because many people don't go to college BECAUSE of the fear of all the debt. I really hope this reform works out.

  41. I think that everyone needs healthcare, and President Obama's plan is a great idea. No one knows when they will get sick and most people can not afford to pay to visit a doctor or hospital. Many people do not want this plan to be passed because they think that the prices of health insurance will be higher. I really think this is wrong because Obama's plan is to lower prices to make it more affordabe for everyone. His plan is also to make it easier for elderly people or people who were previously ill or injured to get insurance. These people can not be denied if they had previous records of illnesses or because of their elderly. I think this would be the right way to go, and i really hope this plan will be very successful because this will help people with lower income get insured.

  42. I agree with president Obama's healthcare plan, because many people in the U.S cant afford to pay for healthcare. many families are poor and this plan will help them out greatly. 43. President Obama's speech on health care was very reasonable and true. He is trying to provide all of his citizens health care at lower prices so that everyone who needs it can be able to afford it. Many of the elderly who live in retirement homes and such often get denied when trying to receive health care. Obama is very concerned about the well being of his citizens which is a factor of being a good president. I agree with Obama's health care plan because it can really help those in need. The economy is now decreasing and this is the time when people struggle the most to pay for the things they need. Getting health care is a very important component in our lives. Obama's plan can provide for these people and help others save money. Many elderly people are currently struggling to live and are living by getting fed through tubes. Cheaper and guaranteed health care will help these people live longer lives. Although Obama's plan sounds like a good idea, the doctors and insurance companies will be getting less money and the U.S. may possibly go into debt with all the money going towards citizens' health care.

  44. I think President Obama's has a great plan for American's for the health care reform. Like in his speech he said he may not be the first to take up this cause but he will be the last. And as he state that I think that he will accomplish all of he's goal that there is to come and that is here now. But back to the health care reform all he is state is that Congress should not worry about trying to make and new system just to work and fix on the one that we have already. And just to say he alone try to help out for the American's that are ill and elderly. To get ensured so they would not have to worry about getting denied when they just do not have the funds for the insurance and bills.

  45. I belive that President Obama's healthcare plan is a great idea. Learning that insurance companies can just cut you off is horrible. Just when you have sunken ship that give up on you. Hopefully this plan will help all those who are hanging at the end of the string in desparate need, such as those who cant afford to pay for the surgeries and other medical bills that they need.

  46. Prdsident Obama is a person that really cares about people's health. Me personally agree with Obamas healthcare plan. Some people can't even affordable it and hes trying to do something to solve this huge problem in the United States. Some jobs don't even offer some type of health insurance, and when someone get hurt or sick they don't even have the money to pay their bill cause they have no money and they dont have health insurance. Im 100% with this and hopefully the U.s. is and we can work this health care plan situation out.

  47. I think Obama's Health care Plan because he is promising that you can keep your current doctors, insurance plans, etc. He is also saying that your plans will become better once he signs the Health Care Bill;it will be illegal for insurance companies to drop an insurer's coverage or alter your plan due to a sickness or other issue. Obama also said that Insurance companies can't put a gap on how much insurance you can recieve in a year or lifetime. Also, routine check ups will be free. I agree with him because the economy is already in bad shape;people usually don't have the extra money pay for insurance payments. For the people who have insurance, they all need a little lean in insurance coverage.

Millions of Americans don't have health insurance, employed and unemployed. Obama is giving those people options on healthcare, based on their affordability. Obama is giving the power of the uninsured to negotiate and find the best health insurance they can. If the uninsured still can't afford insurance, tax credits, based on the consumer's needs. If you have a pre-existing condition, Obama will immidiatley offer you low-cost coverage on health insurance. Obama is also encouraging young people to get health insurance because if they don't, it is more money the insured has to pay for. So he is saying buy a low cost plan. In terms of money I aggree that federal money shouldn't be used for abortions. I also like the way Obama is helping out the seniors and how he cleared the rumors about his plan.

  48. From my pint of view i Think that Obama needs to reform health Care. i think it for the better. He is trying his best to make things alot better. I like the fact that if it does get approved that anybody under the age 26 can stay on there parents insurance. Therefore saying if i was to get im still covered instead of Me or My parents coming out of pocket. There alot of people that dont have insurance and they could get hurt at any given moment. Next thang you know there in debt because they cant afford to pay the doctor bills. I for this 110%, because franky it a good thing to do. obama to me is all about fixing the mistakes and i thank he is doing good. This is also good because he is making sure that everyone is taken care of in some kind of way, so they would'nt have to worry bout debt and trying to find a was to pay off thier bills. This sounds like a good plan to help everyone out, so hopefully everything goes well.

  49. I think that President Obama's speech was very inspiring and interesting. What he did was totally a right thing for everyone. There are so many people out there who wants health insurance, but they couldn't afford it or because their family are poor. Sometimes sick people have to wait in line for their medical treatment because they don't have insurance. This could be really hard for them because what happen if they couldn't wait any longer and they need help immediately or they'll die? Another problem for the people who don't have insurance is that they have to pay more money for their medical treatment than the people that do have insurance. They really need help and President Obama's plan would help make their life more easier. I'm strongly agree with his plan.

  50. I think the health care reform is a really good thing. In a person's lifetime they will visit the doctor at least 10 to 20 times at the minimum.People all need doctors and some people cant afford it.People are complaining about treatments that will be desprately needed won't be given in time.My thought on that is that we can't throw that complaint in the ring until we see what happens.Another complaint is the rise in taxes and the people who are complaining about this, are the ones who got out every 3 months and buy a new luxury. But they fail to realize that if they get very ill and can't afford a doctor, their brand new yatch won't make them better.

  51. After listening to Obama'a speech I realized that his plan is a very good one, even though right now we may not see how this can affect us, it will for our future. Today, there are too many elderly people suffering because they are not covered under a health plan so instead of getting better they are getting worst, and it is not fair. Just to know everyone will be able to afford some type of health plan is great. To know that I will be covered puts one less thing to worry about for me. I stand behind Obama and his plan, just to think that it took this long for someone to figure out how to help us now and in the future.

  52. I think President Obama's speech is more optimistic to the future than beneficial to the lower-class. This plan is based on the citizens without health insurance due to ridiculous costs, mainly collegiates who are fresh off of their parents' insurance and vulnerable to bankruptcy. President Obama is aware of the students' risk and points out that this is unacceptable in America. With tomorrow's everrising prices threatening the generation's prosperity, as the head-honcho, Pres. Obama takes the initiative to eliminate one of the speed bumps in healthcare and add a traffic light instead...Christopher.

  53. i feel that obama is leading people to do the right thing to lower health care prices. i think people should go see a doctor when they are in a desperate need to do so. i feel that nobody should be able to stop anyone from going to see a doctor if they feel they need to and not have to worry about the price so much. He is trying to do what is best for America and i support that 100 percent. He wants the reform to excell without future generations paying for the debt of their wrong doings.

  54. I think that this healthcare system will never work in the US. This whole thing is about getting to help people without health care. Well the only way thats going to happen is by bumping up every little cost we can. That means taxes and every other little thing we can. Yes, everyone shoudl have health care but at what cost are we going to give it to them. Its not just that either, it the fact that everybody will have the same basic healthcare. Meaning that say I go into the ER with a ruptered apendixa and there is a patient ahead me that just has a huge migrane, that person will be treated before I am. With the increase in health care that means more people will be admitted into hospitals which will put a huge weight on the doctors that take care of them. At one point there will be too many patients and not enough doctors. Its just that the whole "free" part isnt true. We would still be paying for it in our taxes. The more patients means the more malpractice suits, which cost tons of money and gives these doctors bad reps. I could go on and on about this all night but I know I can't. Overall I believe that the healthcare system is a vry optimistic thing to think about but if you really give it a thought, it just wont happen. I just dont like the whole ideaf this government controlled healthcare

  55. Personally, I'm in favor of President Obama's health care plan. I believe that he is only thinking of what is best for the citizens. Of course his plan will not be beneficial to all people. But for the most part, it will have the potential to save lives. His plan will prevent insurance companies from dropping coverage when people are sick and need it the most. It would also end discrimination against people with pre-existing conditions. The health care reform would basically provide insurance for all Americans, and I think that is one of the most important factors. I believe that all citizens should have the right to choose who they want to be insured by and be able to actually afford it.

This plan seems promising but, will it actually come through? What I'm worried about is the potential debt that America is going to be in because of this reform. Lots of money will be put towards health insurance. And with the economy that we have today, how will things go in the future?

  56. After reading about Obama's health care speech. I don't know if I think its a great idea, because he is trying to offer free health care nation wide.Even though it might be benifical to some people, there would be a long waiting list for people who want to make a doctors appointment, and in some places there might be emergencies that need to be seen quicker than others. Not counting how packed emergency rooms would be,but this is my opinion this might just be the best thing for America I just dno't see it.

  57. The new health care plan is said to more affordable. So I do agree with Obama's plan. Affordable is a good word because right now as a people are facing challenges. Some challenges that we face is job loss. We know that job less means less money and not enough to pay for things such as health care. So lowing and making health care more affordable give people a chance. Also it allows people was not able to get health care at one time have the chance to get health care. I think also that it should help small business to get lower health coverage for the people who work for them. That’s how I feel about the health care reform.

  58. I think is sayin these words from his heart. He's only to tell us he had checked all health care problems. Now, health finally free, we dont have to pay 20 dollars or more for getting an checkup on our bodies. So, I heard Rep. Joe Wilson comment to President Obama, and I said to myself'' When this world going to change, and when are they going to get this is our president and trying to change this world''. I hope change will come or this world will be destroyed.

  59. I've Read The Speech and also read people opions about the speech.I Strongly Agree with some people and some people i disagree much.I Personally Think That This Is A Very Good Idea, Obama Should Pass A Law Where Health Care Is Cheaper,I Mean Put You And Your Family In A Sickly Perdicament,Say Your Mother Loses Her Job And Your Grandmother Is Down Sick Keep In Mind That You Mother Was Paying Her Health Insurance, Since Losing Her Job She Has Slacked Of Paying It And They Kick Your Grandmother Off & She Die's Then What? EXACTLY!! Thats Why I Think That This Is A Good idea The Economy Is To Bad For Money To BE Wasted. There Are To Many Sick People In America. So I Strongly Agree With Obama.

  60. Well i think the health care reform will help many people who cant afford visits to a doctor when they need it. The other question is if we will have enough physicians and doctors to tend the people. In other words we will need to hire more doctor to tend to the people if we provide health care to the whole U.S. But overall I think this will improve an great portion of the United States Health. Rather than people dying, people will get the help they need. Many people through the U.S. don't have Health care because of it's cost.
